- when we went to the massive, prestigious Salon QP watch and clock event and found an entire gallery room of the Saatchi dedicated to our film “The Watchmaker’s Apprentice”, with the title actually painted on the gallery wall (not to mention all the signage on every floor) and a beautiful write up on the back page of the programme.
Although this screening was merely a preview of the forthcoming film, specially created for Salon QP, the reception was brilliant – especially pleased that David Newman (George’s best friend and Director of Daniels of London) and Roger W Smith, the Actual Watchmaker’s Apprentice, liked it lots
We’re happy bunnies, but now have a whole lotta work to do to realise the rather elaborate but -we hope – beautiful vision we have for the film, incorporating Andrew Martin’s character animations of George and Roger, adding a couple of sections that weren’t quite finished, and finalising the script so we can get the final read from John Rhys Davies.
And then, it’s film festival time!
Huge thanks to James and Lucy of Salon QP for believing in us and the project, and for giving us such an incredible opportunity. Here’s a few pics of the last few days to give you an idea of what we got up to.
